High-Tech PCBs for Complex Components

Unimicron Germany is a leading German manufacturer of customer-specific PCBs and has its headquarters in Geldern, North Rhine-Westphalia. Basic PCBs such as double-sided PCBs and multilayer PCBs with up to 24 layers but also demanding technologies such as HDI or Semiflex are produced at one of the most modern PCB manufacturing facilities in Europe. The highly automated work is designed for samples, small and medium-sized lots and large unit quantities alike. As an independent subsidiary of the Unimicron Technology Group, one of the global market leaders for PCB production, Unimicron Germany can directly access Asian production capacities. This places us in an excellent position to serve our focus markets: automotive, renewable energies and the industrial sector.

More than 350 employees have a modern workplace at the high-tech PCB fab in a future-orientated business field and generate an annual turnover of 54.4 million euros (2018)

Complex PCBs from a German High-Tech Fab

Unimicron Germany has one of the most modern PCB production facilities in Europe. The inner layer works newly established in 2017 is characterized by its extremely high degree of automation and digitalization. Category 10,000 clean rooms (inside optical device unit 1,000) for the photosensitive processes are indispensable today for demanding quality standards.

Unimicron Germany’s maxim as the most tradition-steeped PCB manufacturer in Germany, is to drive technical progress in Europe forwards as a trendsetter with innovations.

We always invest in development of the processes and in the latest equipment. Being state-of-the-art and maintaining the quality level at the very top is not only normal for us, but also our survival strategy for the German location. Intense research and development work are further decisive success factors.

This positions us excellently for the future increasing requirements for complex components and PCBs. Top reliability, miniaturization, high frequencies, heat dissipation or high current are some of the requirements with which we occupy ourselves. In close collaboration with our customers, we try to find an ideal solution for this.

As a Global Player, we have Production Facilities in Europe and Asia

Unimicron Germany can offer its customers PCBs from both Germany and Asia. Unimicron Germany forms the High Reliability Business Unit within the Unimicron Technology Group together with Unimicron Kunshan. This one-owner setup ensures that the PCBs manufactured in Kunshan also have the normal high technological and qualitative standards of those from Unimicron Germany.

We guarantee continuous knowledge and transfer exchange within our business unit as well as the synchronization of operations at both locations.

This enables us to offer our customers combined procurement from Europe and Asia.
