What you can expect if you do your apprenticeship at Unimicron Germany:

Industrial clerk
Industrial clerks control company processes under economic aspects. For example, in the financial area they deal with costs and services invoices and post the different business transactions. In sales, they work out offers and gain experience in dealing with our international customers/partners. In human resources, they select new employees, prepare personnel statistics or handle payroll accounting.
Generally speaking, industry clerks are used for all possible tasks with a commercial profile. As they communicate with customers as well as with suppliers, employees and management, they are regarded as important interfaces and switching points in the company. The job is very varied and requires responsibility. Most applicants who are employed nowadays have a higher education entrance qualification.

Laboratory chemist
Several different chemical processes are used for manufacturing PCBs at Unimicron Germany. In order to ensure that these processes also function and do not cause harm to the environment, we employ laboratory chemists. They prepare chemical examinations and test series and implement them. They analyse substances, separate substance mixtures and produce chemical substances. Moreover, they document their work and assess the protocolled results so that the right quantities of chemicals are always available for production.

Mechatronic
It is not possible to produce a PCB without machines and equipment. In order to ensure that production runs without any hitches, the equipment and machines are controlled and operated by the employees. Here, it is very important that they are serviced regularly and repaired in case of failure. Mechatronics play a special role here. They construct mechanical, electrical and electronic components, assemble them as complex systems, install control software and carry out system maintenance.

Machine and equipment operator
Machines and equipment are used for all production steps. In the past, training or teaching took place via learning by doing. Nowadays, the machine and equipment operator’s significance has increased hugely because the tasks are more varied. He/she configures manufacturing machinery and equipment, commissions and operates them. Machine and equipment operators also retrofit the machines and carry out maintenance work for them.

Specialist for warehouse logistics
Numerous raw materials, auxiliary materials and working materials are required for manufacturing a PCB. In addition to chemicals and basic materials, office materials and tools are purchased and stored. The range of materials is large. Specialists for warehouse logistics accept goods, check them and store them appropriately. They collate deliveries and route planning, load and dispatch goods. Moreover, they contribute to the optimisation of logistics processes.

IT specialist for system integration
In current modern times, we live with numerous means of communication and information. We cannot imagine not having PCs nowadays. In order to enable the optimum use of these modern means of communication and information, a company needs IT specialists for system integration. They realise specific information and communication solutions. For this, they network hardware and software components as complex systems. Additionally, they advise and train the users.
